This set of paintings looks to question the structural need for the colour black and its responsibility to settle almost any surface. The contrasting white looks to challenge this notion in a manner that questions the requirements of form within abstraction. The work is framed with a depth of 4cm, in order to offer a sculptural element to the paintings. The minimalist nature to the art allows for the frame to sit against any colouring.
